Lemon, cinnamon, honey in hot water

Hi all,

Thought I had Lupus but was diagnosed as having Rheumatoid Arthritis some 8 odd months ago...went from being able to do yoga twice a week to bed ridden in 3 days! Had a heart attack since too, stents and possible colon cancer. Colonoscopy (no cancer, phew) many other weird things happened during these months. Anyway what I wanted to share is in the title...I started having the juice of a whole organic lemon with one flat teaspoon of cinnamon in hot water plus a tablespoon of honey. All in a tea cup or half a mug first thing every morning for the past few months. In few days the pain was almost gone. Was not sure if it was due to this or meds starting to work ..but noticed lately, if I stop Lemon for few days even, the aches and pains do come back. At times when I was very punctual there was no stiffness or pain in my wrists and fingers in the mornings even.

So maybe this will help others too. Think it took 2 to 3 weeks to start woking but can't be sure as so many things were tried then.

  • I've done the lemon water off and on for years - I don't usually put cinnamon in, but that is a great idea as cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory. I also drink tart cherry juice most days - it is great for my gout and it helps all arthritis joint pain. My doctor smiles when I mention it to her but doesn't discourage me from drinking it. I think it helps. I have mixed lemon juice in it before as well. Glad you have found something that is working for you - anything we can do to help us fell better is a plus and if it's natural even better! God Bless!
