periods....

I had my laparoscopy yesterday, first one to have it done and was the last one on the ward. After my surgery i had a turn for the worse with my heart rate being sky high an not being able to lift my legs up or walk. Finally I was able to be discharged last night and have just had my partner look after me at home. But on my own today and in very very bad pain with hardly no sleep..... But cut the story short I only had a laparscopy because i have been having very bad abdominal pains when ovulating andwhen having my period, but i only have a 1 day period which is very heavy, I also had the ca125 blood test which constantly came back sky high... Well after the op the surgeon come round to me and said everything was normal!! I was very upset hoping he did find something and it could just get took away and i could get my life back on track and not being ill all the time and waiting to be diagnosed with lupus....

But im wondering if all of this is just symptoms to do with lupus?

Hello Leanne....how could you not feel disappointed...am hoping the surgeon's report is more constructive...eg explaining he found nothing "structurally" sinister so now it's time for further "active diagnosis" investigations: I think he should give suggestions for what type of investigatiins & which clinic should carry them out...but this may be too much to expect of a NHS medic 😏. Certainly your GP & rheumatologist have vested interests in figuring out what is causing these miserable symptoms. Hope you'll keep us posted

Yes that's what they thought.

As far as I'm aware his not seeing me for a follow up appointment so I have no idea what to do now, maybe just wait till I see my gp An rhumy An see what they think.....

A follow up appointment is normally followed after laprascopy . Confusing as to why surgeon hasn't done this xx

Maybe I should call his receptionist next week and ask. I have had none stop dead legs and pins An needles since being discharged so not sure if I'm starting a flare now
