Constant pins An needles
Hi Leanne,
I'm not sure what causes this but I have found that stretching my leg muscles seems to help lots of different leg related symptoms, so perhaps this could help you.

I've just seen this post and hope you've had some relief since posting it.
All kinds of things can cause altered sensation, periferal neuropathy or neurological deficits in your limbs, so I assume your rheumatologist does know about these. Or maybe you've had an assessment by a neurologist or at the very least your GP?
If the cause is already known and there is no specific treatment, then drugs like gabapentin can be helpful. Staying active can also be distracting. Generally though, I agree, it can be overwhelming and relentless. Not nice.
I get intense tingling and creeping sensations in my legs and feet especially. The left has been awful since 3/3/17, which caused a fall and goes up as far as my left thigh. For me I have a known neurological disease, so it's not 'periferal neuropathy' as such, although I can get it in my hands too, but not at the moment. I get it in my tongue too -eek!
Anyway, I've never found a good solution, so this is really more of a 'hand of support'! I do hope it settles soon if it hasn't already. Do take care if you have altered sensation not to injure yourself.
