constant pins and needles?: should i go to the... - LUPUS UK
constant pins and needles?
It probably depends on where the pins and needles are. Have you tried ringing to speak to a GP on the phone? My surgery offers that and its quite convenient. The GP can then talk with you and agree whether you need to see him/her or something else.
If it is an emergency your GP should offer an appointment within 48 hours. Ring them and be firm. A&E really isn't advisable for anything that isn't life-threatening at present!
It literally goes the entire way up my lower leg were I feel like I can't move the leg at all
Then call your GP and be firm. If you go to A&E at present you could well be sitting there for hours which, especially if you have a bad leg, will be very uncomfortable.
It went away so I went to the gym as normal but noticed my back is sore I'm thinking could be related . Doctors next week
Sounds as if you may have a back muscle that is in spasm and trapping your sciatic nerve slightly. But if you recovered to be well enough to go to the gym I don't think the idea of A&E was really the right one!!!!
This happens to me ALL of the time. It can be so off putting, but for me it's not dangerous. It's a neurological issue.
I have health anxiety so every symptom sends me off the rails . Is this my illness or is it just something caused by my anxiety. Hoping the doctors will find out. It's very off putting . Throw my feet up to relax .. 5 mins later cant feel my leg .
It causes you to have anxiety, when you have all of these weird symptoms. They seem to change frequently. I just tell my family.. I'm feeling "lupus-y" today.
Sounds like a trapped nerve from sciatica to me. Get a gp on the day apt by explaining that your leg has gone numb but you don't want to bother A&E at this time - although you will if you have to. Then they should be more helpful!
I'm sorry to say, but it is not A&E matter and they will keep you waiting and very likely refer you back to your gp. One option is to find your local urgent care clinic or walk in centre and that could be another gp who has been contracted to see patients from other surgeries. Your gp admin should be able to tell you this. If not, go to your local CCG (clinical commissioning group) for example if you live in Ealing in london, it will be Ealing CCG. You can get that from web searches. They will have all info what is open in your area. As a NHS professional, unless it is a life threatening situation, please don't go to A&E - sorry, but that is our reality these days
My HR has been at 180 for an hour now as well. My body is malfunctioning big time
That is more likely to be a reason to call 111 and ask for advice I think. But do that before turning up at A&E - they will make the decision which track is most appropriate for you.
The tingling you are feeling will be commingled from your back L5/s1 area siatica slight en trapmet of this nerve can make you foot tingle and leg feel dead try to elevate by logging on you stomach on floor and just raise yourself up on your arms if you feel pain it's to far repeat 3 times a day 5 reps And no gym
