Laser Hair Removal & Lupus
Not me, my rheumy strictly forbid it what she explained is that laser exposure is the same than sun exposure, UV rays destroy healthy cells and it triggers immnune response and it can also trigger a lupus flare.
Maybe someone else had a different experience or tip?
I'm doomed to stay hairy and suffer traditional methods of torture to remove my body hair.

Hi;
I can't answer that question either. Due to lupus and medication, I have absolutely no hair from the neck to my toes. No under arm hair, no leg hair, no chest hair, (I am a guy) and no hair in the down under area. However it has not effected the hair on my head? Lupus is strange.
As 1sam said, I would not recommend it. I would not recommend any type hair removal other than shaving. Waxing can tear thin lupus skin, especially if you take prednisone (that makes the skin thinner). Hair remover cream is very harsh on the sensitive lupus skin also.
My wife says she wishes she had the no hair issue, without the medical issues I have!
Wishing you and your family the best!
