PIP stopped

I have had Lupus for around 15 years and for 8 of those have received disability Living allowance which was changed to PIP, I have just had an assessment and my PIP has has been stopped much to my disgust and I am appealing against the decision, I wondered if anyone else had suffered the same problem or could give me any advice.

Sorry vaneseam that you are suffering in this lousy system. I recommend Disability rights website. They have excellent advice and great success on filling in the form and on reapplying and appeals.

There have been others on here in the same position as yourself and I am sure their more detailed help will be here soon.

There is hope.

Keep your chin up

I never claimed DLA . I applied for pip last November . My assessment was on 8th Feb . They turned me down . I done the mandatory reconsideration . They turned me Down a gain . When to tribunal in June . I won . I am still waiting for back dated money . On my award letter . They said their decision was based highly on verbal contact from me .

The stress has made me feel terrible, I feel like I could go to bed and stay there until this is all the over. I have today asked them to look at my claim again and if they refuse I will have to appeal. There is no way on this earth I could go back to work, my life would not be worth living. At least I know I am not alone and have read how difficult it has been for some of you as well. I don't understand why they put genuine people through so much stress.

Hi Vaneseam

Sorry to read of your problems with PIP , it is awful what they are putting you through as if this illness isn't enough!. My advice is contact Citizens Advice who will help you with your Appeal. They have a good website too with helpful links to info. X

Hi loulamb

Go to Citizens Advice who will contact the DWP on your behalf and find out why you haven't had your payments. It's been too long!. X
