Thank you all : I saw my rheumy yesterday and told... - LUPUS UK
Thank you all
Sorry to hear that you are having a bad time. May I suggest that swimming may not be the best idea if you have an active infection and are on antibiotics, especially if this is an infection in the skin cells in your legs? Just a thought.
Swimming is good...I went recently with my daughter to an aerobics class in water and felt so much better for it..would like to go back but she doesnt live close by so it was a one off....hope you're feeling a lot better soon xxx

Hi;
For me swimming is good, I have to do it lightly but, we have a swimming pool here at home so I get in it quite often. For me it takes some of the stress and pressure off of my joints.
I also take methotrexate, I take 12.5 MG one day a week. I take mine on Sunday's.
I hope all is well and I hope you have a blessed day!

Totally agree that swimming is a fantastic excersise but if you have an active infection in your skin it might be best to get advice from a doc as the skin can become sloughy, macerated and could potentially delay wound healing. Everyone's different though. I guess I'm just cautious as I've seen some sights in my time working in the medical world! But yes, swimming is brilliant! (Just wish they could outlaw Speedos at my local pool....oh my eyes)!!!
Ijeasike, so pleased that your antibiotics are coming to an end, I hope you feel much better.
