Do'se yours just affect your lower arms when it happens. For me it affects my face and neck and my lower arms never been a problem any where else I now have prescription suncream to use have to wear sun hat and if wearing a tshirt a shirt over the Top so my arms are covered. have you seen you gp about it
This is first time had this type of rash. My first one was raised red patches that lasted a month, on chest and shoulder, then went on to have them all over chest, torso, arms and legs for a week or so after that.
This rash in pic came yesterday and is nearly gone now, just faint little lumps now.
My mom gets something like this on her cheeks when she is having a lupus flare
Another idea is that one of your medications has a reaction to sunlight. Weird I know, but I took one like it before.
I get the circle rashes from my neck down only. I get the blisters from my waist down only. Now I can have a rash on my legs and a blister. I have some photos on my home page if these.
I have a rash that pretty much stays on my right all the time. Due to the rash on my right foot I have had to be barefoot for 2 years. I have found that Lupus effects most all of us differently.
I have 2 prescription medications from my dermatologist . 1 is a cream and 1 is an ointment for the Lupus rashes and blisters.
I live in the southeastern U.S. In the state of Alabama, when I am out in the sun ( and that is quite often for where I live), I use a baby sun screen of 70+ SPF.
I wish you the best!

I get that too... I have Lupus & they say photosensitivity is the main symptom. Hope you find your answer. Good Luck!
Rashes of different sorts are typical w/ lupus. They happen frequently. Sun can be the culprit. I live in the Southeast, land of sun. I wear large brim hats and sunscreen--at least a 50--or a 70. I found zinc based sunscreens--less chemicals and also good for skin. Walgreen--or similar store in your area--carries zinc-based sunscreens at reasonable prices. Also, you can find clothing w/ built-in sunscreen or you can add Ritz sunscreen to your wash. There are also detergents w sunscreen. I dress in cotton sleeveless tops and put on a sunscreen shirt over them when i am outside--usually a shirt sold at a nautical store. I keep chair umbrellas in my car to use when I am outside, like on the field watching my kid play soccer. Meanwhile, aloe lotions will soothe and help.
