I am from the UK a Female with Tanned Skin originally diagnosed by a few different doctors in UK with Topical Dermatitis. I Recently saw a Dermatologist outside the country Had Red patch Rashes with a brown background with tiny black spots in Both ears in two places for about a year which is very itchy also around the scalp with a slight hair loss each day but not bald patches hair seems to grow back. Had the Blood Urine Test Results which were Both Fine the Dermatologist explained and Suspects Discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) Still need to get a Skin Biopsy .Would both the Blood Test and Urine test rule out Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
I would be most grateful for any Replies.

I am a male from Alabama in the southern U.S. and I was diagnosed with lupus SLE about two years ago. Unfortunately, most of the time lupus will only show in test if it is active. I have the rashes/blisters from time to time, however my rashes/blisters are from the arm down to feet. I also have hair loss again, it is from shoulders down. I have no body hair. (And yes, none down there). At the present time I have a rash on my upper left thigh in the crease where my leg joins my body. My Dr has given me
Alclomerasone Dipro 0.05% cream to put on rashes/blisters.
With lupus it can be different things for everyone who has it. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask me any questions, I will try to answers them from my experience.
