Inner thermometer all over the place

When I get over tired I feel like I'm burning up from the inside out .Then I will get chills and feel cold .This happens numerous times in a day.  It's not constant but it does signal to me that I am overdoing it . Does anyone else get this ?

I get similar and I often 'over do it'. But to be honest it can also happen if I have an occasional more lazy day xx

Yes and I get breathless , it's not nice , they say I have fibromyalgia as well !

in reply to Shadows-walker

Are you hypothyroid? My inner thermostat has been up the spout for a few years but it is improving since I've started taking T3 as well as T4. I believe poorly controlled hypothyroidism can cause circulation issues.

I don't think so. I just had testing done but I'm not sure that they checked thyroid. Thank you I will ask my Dr about that

All from getting septaciema ! 5 years ago ! Sorry to hear ss not sorting the housing issues out yet.

Been too sick to be on all forums lately so its nice to catch up with you, well not nice at all that you have so many probs to be here as well ,but think you know what I mean.

Hope they give themselves a kick up the preverbial to sort you out asap.Thinking of you and sending healing vibes and hugs

Hi Effie I am ok , just had my bottom burned by a hot water bottle 😚 My daughter forgot to tighten it properly and when I leaned back I got a shock , good job I have waterproof mattress now , I treated myself to  wincecette  sheets , and a thick towel on bed should survive 😳

My daughter has a bio med degree and is requesting all my sick notes and plans on , reading through it all from birth , and we are off to GP tomorrow as all gps in practice have all written sle on letters or sick notes for last 7 months , so after my last vist with rumatolagihst I have decided to as for a new consultant !

He social service dept and housing dept are having a joint meeting tomorrow to see what they are going to do ! Can't remember whether I told you I threatened our local AM or but because nothing was getting done , my friend contacted her and they got a phone call from her , wanting to be kept informed of what they were doing with me , and my eldest got cross as meeting they were supposed to have with me and didn't turn up for ,( and they new they couldn't do ! (And didn't phone me till 4.30 pm and they new 10am ) Charlotte my daughter fired off a very angry email to the chief executive calling the housing officer incompetent , and saying she should not be aloud to have contact with vunrable people , so I had a meeting here last week ,! With complaints managers rom social services  two housing officers jumping through hoops , so now I wait to see what's happening on housing front and whether they are going to put in stair lift till a bungalow becomes vacant as ss have said my house is not situated in a safe location for a wheelchair user ! The hospital type bed is comfy only trouble is its single , so can only fit one dog on bed 😤

How are you doing you , things been difficult I take it ! I hope your on the up like the weather , beautiful day today here in Wales hoping for the same tomorrow, my youngest daughter says she will help me plant a few seed , after I have been to dr in afternoon 😊

Gentle hugs

Chris xx

Ooh Chris,

Scalded behindNot what's suggested for a goodnight sleep.

You certainly do need a new rheumatologist.

Are you on no meds for lupus despite Gp noting it for 7months?

So glad you have your kids looking out for and helping you, when not forgetting things like waterbottle tightening, and making departments sit up and take note.

Hope you get on well at Gp appointment this afternoon and housing get into gear with sorting your needs soon.

Ah poor doglets having to take snuggling in turns .If mine all got on my bed it would snap as the one German shepherd is so loving but so incredibly huge.If she hugs me I'm done for.

I do so miss Wales in any weather but the little brightness in sky hasn't made it any warmer here.Had to scrape ice off screen yesterday so cover those seeds up with a good compost duvet

Look after yourself and let me know how you get on with Gp and housing.

I was just about to ask a similar question!

For years I've had night sweats (they are just so attractive - there's a me-shaped wet patch in the bed).

Then I got so I would feel a tickle at my elbow and it turned out to be sweat running down the back of my arm. I wondered it if was menopause but my GP told me I'd had that a while ago)

Things have improved slightly (I wish I knew why) but I've started burning inside. It's often comes on when I'm eating or just after a meal.

It's really intense. My poor boyfriend (yes it's a miracle this sweaty girl has a boyfriend) freezes whilst I try everything to stay cool

I've found a chillow (google it) helped the night sweats.

I'm going to mention it next time I see rheumatologist

Me too. Always evenings after food and in bed. Hot stuff aint we? Well, apart from the dripping hair, wet patches and wonderful, absorbent wincy, winsy, nice warm wet stuff.

Keep the humour going guys. Even in our trials we have to laff. You gave me smiles anyway. Ta

I will get occasional night sweats also. I keep our bedroom very cool with the window on my side of the bed halfway open summer AND winter.  My husband has an extra blanket on his side of the bed. But then I can also get the chills so I'll be scrambling to pull all the covers up only to throw them off 10 minutes later ..My poor husband .  He's used to it now though

I'm past menopause so I know it's not that .

Yes. My body thermometer is totally different from the rest of the household. Seem to feel the heat much more.

I tend to overheat a lot and it can be from overdoing it or literally just sitting on the couch. I never used to sweat at all in fact I used to be cold all the time and now I am sweating profusely several times a day.
