LED LIGHT FOR NAILS
yes i have and it hurts but thats not say it will have the same effect on u x
Yes I've had it done many times and it doesn't effect me whatsoever and I have lupus with light sensitivity, raynauds and sjogrens. Certainly a lot of LED light would not be good but the small bit involved with nails is fine and when my nails look lovely it makes me feel good 😊 Bronagh
It depends on how my health is. I've had them done with no issues at all and other times my fingers have got so red and sore afterwards.
I have acrylic nails, no need for a lamp and think they look just as good. X
I've fine the lamp works ok, I think it's different for everyone. I actually own one now and I do my own nails, they look great. Maybe give it a try once and see how you react to it?
Hi
I am odd. But you know that.
I had my nails done by my daughter in law Christmas 2015. Thought I had no response. We got muddled, with talking and I blasted my right thumb twice.
When the varnish came off, my right thumb nail was strikingly polished. Reflectively so. Everyones opinion? WEIRD. Only just faded/grown out. I wont be having mine done again. Double led dose did something. What if it is cumulative?
You repeat doers obviously have no probs. Just dont double dose, or, do so for a years worth of natural polished nails! Ha ha💅💅💅💅💅💅💅💅
Just my tuppence worth, yup I am that old
Love etc
⚽️
Just to note some nail lamps use UV lighting and not just led .
A friend of mine with lupus was told led and it was actually UV it affected her hands but also reflected back off table and caused rash on neck.
So please do double check with salon.
I have been having mine painted with Gel for about 5 years now and putting my hands under the LED lamp with no side affects.
I also have light sensitivity.
Love having my nails done as it makes me feel good....find the gel is kinder to my nails than the acrylics were .....but I do allow them to grow a good bit...just looks like I need infills ...so have them done every 3/4 weeks....
I found the meds were making my nails dry and flaky so I far prefer the gels....
Hope it works for you ...we all need that feeling good time...
Gentle hugs
Guy's would love to have my nails done but it's the smell it's sets off a migraine so can't walk into a salon. I am looking for a salon that is small and does other beauty treatments as if only one or two nail tables may be ok. When I find one and walk in I will know if I can cope. Have no even considered the LED would that be just to dry them as I would rather they dried naturally, couldn't cope with the light, I can't cope with they grey clouds.
I am so jealous 😷
Take care all Nx
Hi there Rack , I do my own nails and use a uv gel and lamp all the time..it shouldn't feel like your nails are burning. you shouldn't feel any pain at all .If you ever have this tingling burning sensation when your hand is under the lamp after the uv gel has been applied then the person who has filed and buffed your nails has filed your nails to much and made the nail thin. This is why and when there will be stinging..
My daughter has done mine at home for me on quite a few occasions with no problems. She uses a UV lamp but she only uses half the recommended time and the gels 'cure' just as well. I agree with willowwag your nails shouldn't burn, I've had them done at a salon before and they buffed the surface of the nails too much, which is why I don't use salons any more.
Had mine done once never again ,nails have never been right since, but the skin on fingers felt like they were burning.
