I have always suffered with headaches and have migraine pills on prescription even though they are not strictly speaking migraines. They do the trick, even over the counter ones like Migraleve.
Hi Ruth. I would mention them to your rheumatologist. I was sent to see a neurologist as mine were really bad with black outs and funny things happening in my head. Luckly it wasn't a form of epilepsy but was migraine from the lupus. I now take nortriptyline for them. Its important your lupus is under control as my neurologist cannot help with mine any further until he has confirmation of this. Mine has gone on to me getting neuropathy so am now waiting on my two consultants. Good luck and hope you get storted.
I was suffering from really severe headaches, my gp has put me on amytriptyline, it worked brilliantly at first but unfortunately the headaches returned, he has increased my dose from 10mg to 25mg hopeing this works. See your rhymy or gp and get help I know how debilitating they are on top of everything else we put up with. Take care hope you get sorted soon xxxxx.
