There are quite a few people on here with successful treatment approaches and most of them are different. My recent ENT appointment suggested Sterimar isotonic saline spray followed by the steroid spray 'Nasonex' (prescription). I've had excellent results. Hope you get it sorted, they can be very painful. Clare x

Have a word with the gp or pharmacist, they will be able to look and see what the best treatment would be.

sprays are great for clearing your nose if the lining is blocked or inflamed, they might help keep sores away? I have used the cream for cold sores which has helped or the gp may prescribe an antiseptic steriod cream.

Good old fashioned Vaseline!

I was prescribed a cream called Naseptin which works really well.

Someone said good old fashioned vaseline, and I agree. However i've now moved to good old fashioned germolene! Works very well :-)

I find Naseptin works very well. I think it's prescription only though I've run out after using it sparingly for a few years. But I dislike having my GP looking up my nostrils with a torch so I have been using Vaseline and sometimes Sudocreme. For me they aren't as good.

So sorry: this is nasty, Amanda. I've been managing these forever: dry and sore nasal passages with lesions.

At first I relied on Vaseline etc...but had to consult the GP eventually who prescribed the antibiotic topical naseptin about 20 years ago...eventually I became resistant to that and had to switch to bactroban - also on repeat prescription. But now I've been on my lupus systemic treatment daily (hydroxy + myco) for 4+ years my nasal lesion-like sores seem slightly less frequent.

also, 4 years ago my ENT consultant got me on Neilmed sinus treatments which also help nasal passages to be healthier & less prone to sores - I get them from Amazon: I use the bottle & sachet NM system every 3 days usually, and the NM aerosol spray cans every morning & evening. I am almost 100% certain the NM stuff is reducing my predisposition to nasal sores & generally helping my sinuses too

Suffer with this also. I use nelimed sinus wash every day, comes with saline sachets which you put in the water. I use a nose spray called gelositin on prescription which you can use when needed.
