Flu jab: Are you having a flu jab? ( sle sufferer) - LUPUS UK
Flu jab
Hello Maria68. I have SCLE (a cross over lupus between SLE & DLE) and was told that I needed to have the flu jab every year. I think we are not allowed to have live vaccines. But the flu jab isn't live. I have already booked mine for this year. If you are unsure, speak to your GP.
Yes Maria, Lupus sufferers are strongly advised to have the flu jab and around about now is the time to get it so as Wendy says contact your Gp's surgery.
Thank you, I've booked today 😊
My GP's surgery sent me a text telling me I was on their list as s patient entitled to flu vaccine. Booked in for next month. First time I've had it.
Hi. I had mine yesterday and my arm is very achy. But I've not had any other side effects this year. I have one every year. X
Yes, I'm booked for my flu jab next week - first time. Doctor said I should as Plaquenil is an immunosuppressant (not sure it is, but happy to have the jab, anyway!)
Yes, mine is booked. It is recommended for people with Lupus
