Lupus Bible and Norton Protocol

Hi all, has anyone heard of the Lupus Bible? I stumbled on a site that claims there is a natural way to 'cure' lupus! Not sure if this will work but I am definitely going to try.

If anyone has heard about it, please share...

Hi Mariedg,

Please be cautious and do not make any radical changes to your treatment regimen, supplements or diet without discussing it with your consultant. There is no cure for lupus at present. Some people may find success in managing their symptoms for a time and experiencing remission through diet/exercise/other but it is important to remember that lupus expresses itself very differently in everybody and what works for one person could have no effect, or even be potentially harmful for somebody else.

Thanks, I will discuss with my consultant but she usually tells me that she doesn't know much about alternative treatments and I am left not knowing whether they would work for me. I am afraid to try anything new without her approval.

Hopefully if you can discuss exactly what you plan with your consultant they can outline any potential risks or interactions with your existing treatment so that you can make an informed decision. Pharmacists can also be very helpful for identifying interactions with drugs.

I found that and read it all through, although some bits were quite difficult. It was a while ago and I don't really remember what was useful and what wasn't, but with that and various other documents, auto-immune recovery books and other research we came across, we (my daughter who was diagnosed, along with her father and me) decided on minimising toxins (filtering water, avoiding high toxin fish) and gluten and dairy free. Those were the main lifestyle changes she has made. So far so good (along with Hydroxychloroquine of course!).
