Body shaking all our it look likes im on a vibro ... - LUPUS UK
Body shaking all our it look likes im on a vibro plate in the gym....anyone ever had this experience.
Hi Willowwag
Sorry to hear you've had 'the shakes', it is alarming I agree
I have suffered constantly with lupus/ME for many years and always get the shakes when I'm seriously relapsing so this could be what you're experiencing although you should still get checked by GP.
My muscles visibly vibrate ( ESP thigh muscles!) it's alarming to watch. I know it's my nervous system, exhausted & get to bed & rest!
I hope you stop shaking soon !
Take care my friend xxx

fasciculation ? , e.g. ...youtube.com/watch?v=X5YjSJs...
Hi Willowag,
I also get this and particularly my legs and left arm. This is also my sign that I am about to be very unwell. I drop everything and go into rest mode. Also, contact the rheum nurse to see if meds can be tweeked. First time it happened, it terrified me but I guess I am getting used to it like all the other stuff. Sending my best wishes that you feel better soon.

Yes, but I felt as if I was freezing at the time ...
Shivering also occurs along with chills because the patient's body produces heat during muscle contraction in a physiological attempt to increase body temperature to the new set point.
Causes
Chills are commonly caused by inflammatory diseases.
Hi my daughter also got the shakes all over when she had her first episode of lupus it was terrifying for her and she then was left with muscle twitching for a few months! I hope it soon stops for you.
Hi willowwag
My daughter has lupus she got the shakes when she had her worse relapse, which I hope never happens again for her, I hope it soon stops for you!
Hi willow wag
I am sorry to read read about your scary experience. I also get tremors associated with worsening lupus symptoms.
I was wondering if sitting outside had anything to do with what happened to you. Were you in the sun, or was it a very hot day? Both of those effect my lupus.
Take care & best wishes. X
