I have noticed at night that the cold I get in my feet seems to track upward. I can only describe it as an intense cold that seems to be in my bones. It stops at the hip joints and is so painful. Does this sound familiar to anyone or am I just weird?
cold feet tracking upwards?: I have noticed at... - LUPUS UK
cold feet tracking upwards?
Hi Mattie I used to get the same it's sounds like raynauds used to be hellish you need to tell your GP about it try and keep your feet and hands warm I take turmeric powder sprinkled on my cereal gravy etc and find it helps natural anti-inflammatory
Thanks Farmfester, will try the turmeric.
Yes...had this since the early 1990s, even in summer - drs seemed unimpressed & made no comment, but I was being treated for complicated spine problems so haha they were concentrating on that. Even once the spine stuff was finally better sorted out in the early 2000s, this bone cold stuff continued. Finally 2.5 yrs ago my infant onset lupus was re-diagnosed & treatment begun. The drs now tell me this bone coldness is part of the complex of mostly secondary conditions affecting my extremities, including raynauds.
We've had a v mild winter in the uk, but I feel as if this bone coldness is maybe a degree slightly less intense since jan when I added mycophenolate to the plaquenil I've been taking daily since early January this year
Like farmfester, I take a daily turmeric cap, along with several other supplements prescribed by my pain consultant...I've been doing this for 10 yrs + sticking mostly to an anti inflammation diet....I also wear thigh high leg warmers....over jeans & leggings + in bed at night (with bed socks)...falke is my favourite make for leg & foot knitwear
Take care
Thanks Barnclown. Very helpful. Will def try the turmeric.
Should ad that since that since starting a nerve blocker the cold feet and legs are much better
