No chemo due to covid

Hi, had a telephone appointment with the Oncologist last week, and was decided by me and my wife not to go ahead with post surgery chemo, the life expectancy with or without chemo were very marginal so with the current problems with covid-19 I think we made the rite decision. just going to have 6 monthly scans now and see what happens.

Cheers all and Stay Safe

Dave

You’ve made a sane decision. I send hope that the next scan is issue free!

Difficult decision to make I am sure but seems a sensible one in the circumstances. It can presumably be reviewed when the current restrictions due to the risk of contracting Covid-19 are lifted. Hope the next scan brings good news. Take care and stay safe. x

Thanks, no option for chemo after 3 months but we will just watch the scans.

Hi, I made the same decision with my oncologist not to continue with the adjuvant chemo as the risks around Covid now outweigh the benefits.

Hope your post op recovery is continuing to go well.
