12 days post surgery “Great News “

Hello Cancer Survivors,

12 days ago I had a wedge resection and lymph nodes removed at KP Fontana, CA. Released after 5 days. Got my pathology report yesterday. Tumor removed with clear margins and the lymph nodes the surgeon could reach were negative. I’m praising God and my medical team. I’m recovering slowly and still having discomfort and pain in chest but that will improve with time. Thank all you who have encouraged me and helped guide me through this journey. I know this journey is not over but thankful for this good news for a change.

Stay strong and keep the faith, SteveO

Hi Guardamar,

So happy for you. I only had a wedge resection. Was suppose to have lobectomy, but my heart kept failing so surgeons opted for wedge. I’m a bit disappointed, but still feel good that the tumor is out with clear margins.

You are a couple weeks ahead of me in recovery. My main pain is in my abdomen. A stinging nerve pain that really burns most of the time. Do you have that? I pray it subsides over time.

Hope you continue your recovery and have many more wonderful years of life.

SteveO

Hi, there

So glad to hear they got the tumor out with clear margins.Mine was a small tumor

but in a difficult place so they did a lobectomy. I still feel vunerable and sleeping is uncomfortable, but no real pain only if l sit to long tightness under the breast. l hope this will go in time. Take it easy it is early days our bodies are still in trauma l think. Does your medication help with the pain your feeling? If not maybe they could change it.

Take care

Best wishes

Guardamar
