Hi all
I just had a call saying lymph nodes were not cancerous - such relief, but I feel drained of all energy. Did anyone else react that way?

Excellent news!!!
Hello SandraLlew,
I am pleased to hear that your lymph nodes are benign. It must be so difficult waiting for results like this, no wonder you are exhausted. Along with the relief, I'd say its perfectly natural to feel drained. You may have been suffering from acute anxiety for a prolonged period and it takes a toll, on our mental health our sleep pattern and our general wellbeing. I am also glad to hear your GP taking an active role in addressing your health concerns. As you are probably aware a common cause of lymph nodes can be infection so it's important that you have been referred to a specialist. I am sorry to hear you have other health concerns, hopefully you can focus on them now and get good advice and support from your local medical practice. That's good news - yes, tiredness is a natural reaction to all that waiting and worrying.... find yourself a way to celebrate the good news - whatever that is for you.... catch up with friends, have a soak in the bath, enjoy something nice to eat, watch a film/boxset, or whatever takes your fancy. Time to get on with life now after positive news.... good luck.
I hope that you're feeling as well as possible! I believe what we do is push all tension, trouble, apprehension to the back of our minds. When a situation is over, we realize what we have been doing, or not! So, our bodies are worn out, enervated, as it were, and fall into a heap! Also, if were a having trouble with our lungs, we are not always getting enough oxygen, which makes us tired! Gosh, I seem a bit patronizing, sorry! I came here to ask something!
Thank you, you don't sound patronising at all, I am feeling very weird like I should be jumping for joy, celebrating. It all seems like an anti climax, after a long struggle with many many hiccups on the way. Not helped by being told in one appointment that the original cancer was gone but there was likely another one - so another biopsy, very quick this time and a 2 week wait for the results. Luckily negative. In the same week my GP referred me to three different consultants so they were all ringing, the whole week was just a total roller coaster of emotions.
