Rash healed now this black mark appeared

Hi there i recently contacted a type rash on both sides of my upper thigh and i went to my doctors who took a swab and blood tests and gave me antibiotics and creams it kinda healed but i now have this black type bruise thats appeared now any ideas what it could be thanks

Were you treated for cellulitis? The infection can damage tiny blood capillaries in the surrounding tissue, which manifests as a bruise. It could hang around for a while. Keep the area moisturised.

I was giving fucidin cream and fluxacillian antibiotics my blood tests came back fine and the swab results found no abnormalities i had no bruise there 2 weeks ago this has just appeared

Is it painful to touch? Is the skin hot in that area? Do you have lymphoedema in that limb? Was the rash caused by a bite or did you come into contact with a plant? Did you use a topical product (cream/lotion) that caused a skin reaction?

Please go back to doctor for further check - hopefully it’s nothing serious but it could be. If your GP is stumped, you may need dermatology review.
