Treatment for the home

Hi, I’m looking at options of buying a machine for home drainage. My lymphoedema clinic used to do MLD then stopped, then they used to put my leg into a drainage machine but then got rid of the machine. Now my options are to either do my own MLD or buy one of those machines. My questions are do the they do any good and if so which brand/type should I go for?

Did the clinic machine work for you? Can you remember the product name?

There are a few available, and they can be quite expensive, but you really do get what you pay for.

Sorry to hear that people are developing these problems. I have a lympha press and suit here in Canada that I would sell. Wife has passed and had surgery by Dr Campisi in Italy 2015 . It was a groin surgery and the surgery , it actually worked. We bough this lympha press in Italy and its from the below the breast to the feet and she swore by it. It was 3 years old...500 hours which is nothing...cost 7000 Canadian or 4500 usd...I will see for $2,000.00 Canadian DOLLARS...i can send pictures, email cmaxtommy@hotmail.com...truly is in wonderful pristine condition...all hoses and everything completely works. Its easy...you just slide inside and read a book

Perhaps you could phone the clinic, they might be able to tell you which pump you had used Not all clinics have the same pump and many have no pump nor offer MLD, you were fortunate. Also Look into LymphaPress which is very reputable in the UK and US. I think you can rent it for a week or more through the rep to trial it. Also visit Haddenham Health Care website for into about their pump system. A poorly designed, cheap pump can lead to LE complications so do be selective in what you buy. The most reputable ones are a few thousand £ but worth it. Like Lynora said, you get what you pay for. X
