Anyone here tried ‘copper infused magnetic foot support’ socks as advertised on social media? I wear custom made support knee highs and thought I’d try these for Lymphoedema swollen ankles. Hoping they’ll do the trick while the weather is warm.

Please don’t. These items are not suitable for people who have lymphoedema.
Can you be more specific Lynora? Will they actually do any harm? They advertise as being for lymphoedema sufferers.
I have seen damage done by items like this. Some years ago a client bought a product like this from a ‘medical products’ leaflet, that used to be sent out as junk mail. He wore one in place of his class 3 garment, went to work, and a few hours later ended up at A&E having it cut off. It had caused a tourniquet just above his ankle.
None of the limbs in the pictures are remotely oedematous.
If you think your garments are too heavy for summer, ask your clinic if you could be fitted with same grade but a lighter weight product. There are several available.
