Has anyone tried this machine. Other machine recommended on here is out of my price range. This is purported to be good for both arms and legs. My lymphoedema is in my arm.
Sissel compression machine: Has anyone tried this... - LSN
Sissel compression machine
sorry should have said this is a Sissel Machine
I tried to find out what kind of machine you're referring to, but found nothing. In my opinion, even if one finds something that is cheaper than the compression ones advertised, one has to be sure that it helps the fluid to move on if not, it's money thrown away.
Hello MaryMP. I have in the past looked at this website and there is no mention of lymphoedema on their site. it is also difficult to find out about the garments, but from what i can glean from the pump description there are only 4 cells in the garments that would fill with air and compress against the limb - this is not efficient enough and those products on the market that specifically treat lymphoedema have many more cells; up to 24 depending on which garment you require. whilst i understand other products are more expensive; if you want to make a purchase, it is important that the product is the right thing for your condition. i would proceed with caution and ask for a trial to test the efficacy. Good Luck. NNE
i have seen this device on a trade stand. It may be a case of 'you get what you pay for'. Have a word with your lymphoedema clinic to see if they 1. have heard of it 2. if they would recommend it.
As with any compression device, you must be able to do self-lymphatic drainage during/after use, so make sure you get them (your clinic) to show you.
You could contact the company - ask if you can try a device on a sale or return basis, and see how you feel after using it. If there are no results, you should at least get your money back.
