Hi there! Is anyone taking Amitriptyline for anxiety? If so do you get a side effect of ‘dry mouth/tongue’? My tongue is so sore right now!!! But don’t want to stop my meds (if it is that!), any tips would be appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Hi Sunnydays. I think you’ll find with most antidepressants you will experience dry mouth. Stay hydrated & keep water by your bed at night xx

Hello :-)

So many medications can give you a dry mouth , usually it does settle down

Sometimes medications can cause you thrush in you mouth which makes it go dry as well , so see how you go if it does not improve or gets worse let them check your mouth and maybe see what they say about these side effects :-)

Take Care x
