Facial spasms

Hey everyone , Has anyone experienced facial spasms for prolonged periods of time ? My right eyelid has been at it for nearly 2 months now and although isn’t 24/7 it happens a lot on and off each day. I also get a small spasm in my chin and above my eyebrow. Ive been told that this is down to stress and anxiety and is very common but some back up or reassurance from someone on here might help me to put my mind at ease. I used to suffer with health anxiety really bad so I’m banned from google etc as I always used to assume the worst. My stress levels are up but not all the time and the anxiety seems to be improving but the spasms / twitches are starting to make me worry.

I think they are very common! I do get them when I’m stressed and even if I’m just tired but they never tend to bother me too much as I don’t think they’re a sign of anything more serious. a couple of my friends tend to get them a lot too!

I have spasms mainly in my left eyelid but sometimes in both, mainly due to either tiredness or my anxiety

Hi! Yes it can be caused by anxiety, stress, lack of sleep, too much caffeine, and lack of certain minerals. You can try drinking tonic water to help and sports drinks. It is very common but annoying! Good luck!
