Do you have any idea where you social anxiety started
You could do with some therapy or even go and see your Doctor and meds could be an option to even though I would personally prefer therapy
With anxiety we usually have low self esteem and this can make us struggle to interact with others yet you find once you do how much people enjoy our company
You say you want to loose weight
There are more ways to loose weight than going to the gym
Walking is one of the best ways in which we can loose weight , you could start doing short walks every day and then build yourself up and while you are walking you could try just practicing smiling at people you pass or saying hello to build yourself up slowly
Not sure if any of these suggestions will help but I do hope you will ask for some support as this anxiety is taking control and stopping you achieving what you want in life and you are worth so much more than that even if you anxiety is telling you otherwise
