Has anyone else had experience of antibiotics specifically Co-amoxiclav raising platelets?

I've been through a Bone Marrow Transplant to treat leukemia (2015) and one of the side effects is I am susceptible to ITP, it doesn't persist like most people's rather it occurs roughly every 2 years with no warning .

I'm currently on my 3 occurrence ITP with the hospital starting off with steroids like they have to, but I found last time this happened if I had a course of antibiotics my platelets suddenly rose by 35 and then dropped off once the course was finished. This happened 3 times and the hospital said it would be interesting to investigate but never did (cost probably) has anyone else had a similar experience?

I do hope the antibiotic you mentioned is not raising platelets. Just one week ago my level was 403 and my consultant decreased my dose of Eltrombopag. The following day, due to an infection, I started on this antibiotic. It’ll be interesting to see if my levels are still raised.

Two years ago I was bitten by a cat, and was given Co-amoxyclav (and a booster tetanus injection) in case of infection. My platelets did increase (from low 20s to 30) briefly, but decreased again shortly afterwards.

This happened to me 3 months ago and I was looking for more information here but no luck.

I was on a 3-week course of oral antibiotics (can't rmbr the name) due to impetigo. My count was 17 and had big bruises here and there. I was thinking to wait till my antibiotic treatment is finished to start the steriod. A few days into my treatment, I noticed all my bruises had disappeared.

2 weeks after finishing the treatment, my count had gone up to 92 (havent been this high for years) and it wasnt till yesterday my bruises started appearing again.

I have a feeling the antibiotic works for my ITP temporarily which is about 2 months in my case.
