just started Avatrombopag

Hi all! update to my earlier post. My platelets dropped back down to 11 today. Been dropping bit by bit for weeks. The bruising and Petechiae appeared today. Consultant has put me on 2 prednisone a day for 10 days and Avatrombopag one day for 28 days.

Wish me luck I hope it doesn’t give me any side affects. She said most people tolerate it well. First day back in school today after the holidays so fingers crossed! Hope you are all well

My blood has also showed markers for rheumatoid arthritis so they will be looking into that too. Maybe the one is causing the other? We shall see. I do get joint pain mainly hips and thumbs. Thought it was just getting older. 😀

Good luck Janau.That pred can be a bit side effecty - i foundcit gave me energy if a bit wired so may propel you up that hill into school.! When yoyre off it hopefully the alvatromo will work on its own with affecting you...

Haha the hill was steep this morning! But new term it always is. I just took it slower! I was awake a lot on the night thanks to the steroids. Have a great day 😊
