Hi. Just stated avatrompobag last Monday. Been fine till this morning now stomach reacting a little to it I think. Anyone know if I can take anti diarrhoea meds alongside it please?

hi Janau,

I haven’t had a problem with the Avatrombopag apart from if I haven’t had some food with the tablet. But steroids absolutely destroyed my gut and in your previous post you said your consultant had put you on steroids for 10 days. So it could be the steroids as I found their effect on my digestive system was accumulative and not instant.

Hi Clarissa!

Thanks for replying. Yes I think you are right. Now I’m off the steroids I’ve returned to normal. No problems on the avatrompobag otherwise which is good. My platelets went up to 77 but yesterday dropped to 52. Still taking 20 mg once a day and back next week for another blood test. I don’t mind if it stays around 50 I’m feeling very well and can get on with my life.
