Very low blood pressure following stomach drain

Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me understand whats going on with my mothers blood pressure following a stomach drain over a week ago.

Long story short my mother has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer (we don't know what stage yet) which is being treated with chemotherapy at moment with a possibility of surgery in the near future to remove the ovaries ect once the tumor hopefully shrinks.

She had bacterial pneumonia earlier this year and sepsis which left a lot of fluid in her legs tummy and pretty much everywhere which her body couldn't get rid of.

She had a stomach drain over a week ago and since then the site leaks semi regularly because they have only put a small bandage on and no steristrips or stitches. But since she had this procedure her blood pressure has plummeted to 79/50 which is very low and they won't let her out of bed.

I've read this is fairly common when a lot of fluid is drained from the body but I wondered why this happens? And also how long before it should return to normal? She has been placed on beta blockers for a high pulse which obviously is affecting her bp even further. I am aware that ovarian cancer can sometimes cause fluid in the stomach when it becomes advanced but the drs are not convinced it's totally related at this stage as the proteins from the fluid drained are normal and she has normal liver function.

Being bed bound is debilitating and it's been over a week since she was allowed out of her room.
