Take Fruitflow NHS prescription
Hi there, this is a valid alternative to aspirin, just to borrow KateH from her comment under a previous post:
Aspirin alternative
'Clopidogrel used to go under the trade name Plavix but only last year its licence expired which means that all companies can now make a generic tablet';

As Mary F says - clopidogrel is the alternative to aspirin that doesn't damage your stomach or irritate ulcers. Used to have the trade name Plavix but now is generic and a lot more affordable for your GP.
My stomach can't tolerate aspirin so my GP prescribed me clopidogrel. I've only been on it a few days, as I am newly diagnosed, but can report that, so far, my stomach feels fine (quite an achievement for me, I might add )
Glad to hear it - I found it the same: no more vomitting blood, a real bonus! I've been on it for almost a year now and not had any problems unless the evil anti-inflams are involved. One point though - if you need an operation, you must stop taking it a week before rather than the usual three days for aspirin.
