Is there anyone in this community that is taking Xarelto and enoxaprin sodium at the same time. I am looking for an alternative to aspirin and I’m already on enoxaprin sodium.

just wanted to know if there’s anyone else in our group who might be taking both

No not taking both but I do take a combination of clexane, clopidogrel and aspirin. This combination was worked out over time with my specialist and now been on this for nearly 20 years.Have you looked into replacing the aspirin with another anti platelet like clopidogrel rather than another anticoagerants?

Probably best to discuss with your haematologist?

Hopefully other replies will give you some ideas.

Thanks i am discussing with my Hematologist. My stomach has been bleeding, and i have Catastrophic APS. The LW heparin is not enough so looking for alternatives

I am also on aspirin and clopidogrel & have similar issues with regard to the aspirin. I never take on a empty stomach but like you said I also had the pain in my abdomen.

Although they have discovered a gastro bleed in your stomach have they done scans or a colonoscopy ? I also have a B12 deficiency for which I now self inject & prescribed folic acid. I was found to have errosive gastritis along with a hiatus henia.

The colonoscopy has show a large part of my colon to be inflammed & i'm now diagnosed with crohns ! This would explain my B12 deficiency due to malabsorbtion. The gastrologist is now going to arrange a capsule swollow to take a closer look.

I am also looking for an alternative to the aspirin but do feel your gastrologist should look at you ilium........

Our bodies absorb most of the nutrition from our food as it passes through the ileum and only the last 18 inches can absorb Vitamin B12. This portion of bowel is called the terminal, or distal ileum and when diseased, injured or removed, a potential Vitamin B12 deficiency can arise.

My haematologist couldn't suggest anything to replace the aspirin ! I also have the blue toe's which my Dr has put down to Raynauds.

Yes, I recently had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and they didn’t really discover anything. There was a couple polyps to remove and the gastritis from the aspirin. They are now giving me Sucralfate to help repair my stomach lining and want to restart the aspirin next month. From the research I’ve done with ChatGPT. It really doesn’t look like there’s a good alternative.

I have made a note of Sucralfate, it will be interesting to see what is offered me. Doesn't look like we are in a good situation with regard our meds ! ☹ Take care

sadly, i take 10 medications at 5 different times during the day to manage the long term impact of CAPS. Sucralfate is a simple one that coats your stomach, but it stops the absorption of other medications so you can't stake it as the same times as the rest of your meds.

Not what you're looking for?
