Fragmin and bleeding does anyone else get this.

Hi I have started Fragmin 2 days ago the only thing I'm concerned about is today at work I noticed blood coming from one of the injection marks not a lot just enough to know some blood had come out. Does this happen to any one else .

Hi thanks for answering my question I do it at night I was at work when I did it don't know if I bashed it could that cause it to bleed if you knock it. This is my first time on a blood thinner.

hi! Yes - sometimes I will see that I am bleeding the next day or have bled while sleeping. Watch out WHERE you are injecting. Try to stay in the abdomin area rather than above the belly button, Watch out for any veins(blue lines). Put a bandaid on it. If it happens a lot - tell your doc, maybe your blood is too thin.

Hi Moonbug

I sometimes get bleeding as soon as I pull the needle out but, like you, I have had slight bleeding on occasions upto two days after injecting at a particular site.

Moonbug, I, too, have occasionally had what you describe. I just cover the area with a bandaid for a day or two and that takes care of it.
