upper abdominal pain

My wife has (C)APS - wondering if anyone out there has experienced upper-abdominal pain - with swelling - my wife has been in the hospital with this over the past couple of days and no tests show why this is going on

So sorry to hear your wife having such an awful time, quite a few of us have upper abdo pain associated with gerd/(acid reflux), not sure about the swelling though, I have some liver involvement that causes right upper abdo pain and swelling.

I have also heard that others experience problems with spleen left upper abdo pain swelling. These may be associated with blood flow, due to sticky blood.

Im sure others will be along that can help more.

I hope they get to bottom of your wife's problems and she feels better soon.

\\sorry to hear of your worries skylark, I am afraid I can not offer any further help, other that to say, I get upper pain, which is vaso spasm angina, I believe since my dx this could be due to little clots, tests showed nothing though!! only on a couple of occasions did ecg show minor changes of oxygen to heart. GTN helps the pain sometimes and this is the way it was diagnosed. Hope this helps.

Possibly Budd Chiari. I've had liver theombosis, portal vein thrombosis and clot to the bowel.
