Do you know of a painkiller that will work for me?

I experience severe pain in my joints, especially my hands, elbows and knees. I use the following medication: Buprenorfin 20 mikrog/time. It does not help sufficiently. Has anyone experienced more success with other medicines? I also use Warfarin inr 2,5. I live in Norway and was diagnosed in 2000 after a stroke.

Hi gruva

Welcome and glad you found us.

I take Tramadol Hr (slow release) 100mg twice a day, Pregabalin 50mg 3 times a day and Plaquenil 200mg 2 times a day, I`m finding a lot of the pain is under control with this. I also take warfarin and loads of other meds. If my Inr is up around 3 - 3.8 the pain is less too.

I do have other conditions. so finding a combination of meds that works has been a lot of trial and error.

Hope this helps and there will be others along with advice too.

Wishing for better days for us all.

Take care, love n gentle hugs xxxxxxxx :-) :-) :-)

I have hip/pelvic girdle issues as well as a very bad knee. So far, any pain killer my doctor has ever suggested -- the most recent one being tramadol -- only makes me sleepy but doesn't do a thing for the pain. Instead of being in too much pain to function, I am too sleepy to function. (And the pain is still there.) Physical therapy is helping (as it has helped in the past,) but it is a slow process. And this flare was so intense that I'm not sure how much function I'm going to get back.

I don't know weather you have heard about Tramadol pain killer before but it one of the best and popular pain killer that eradicate any kind of physical pain. Though there are many do's and don't for the pills but when doctor prescribe the medication they explain all the guidelines about it and you can also get deep knowledge about the medicine online. Tramadol is very effective for arthritis pain.
