Hi I was admitted second time round for elective cancer surgery a week two days ago.My clotting re platelet count just keeps going higher they already upped my blood thinning injections.

Had some clots in blood drain, surgeon tested that

I'm not officially diagnosed with anti phospholipid syndrome.

I'm taken off hydroxchlorquine whilst unable to eat.

Had ask it be added back as able eat soon

Should I be concerned find they don't act fast on things on IV antibiotics bad wound infection internally.

They had to remove my spleen, surrounding fatty layer tummy and extra areas of cancer sent to histology.

I had meningitis September in isolation then for two weeks.

Took ages headaches reduce

Just update not on regular blood thinners but apparently injections for 28 days post surgery.

so sorry to hear of these serious health problems you are dealing with. A hematologist that deals in clotting and blood disorders of all kinds needs to be kept in the loop at all points in time.

I’m very sorry to hear that but I’m glad for affirmation and a plan with a proactive Dr by your side.

Reminder- with APS D-Dimers will be normal when clotting because fibroginin does not work in the normal way. ( I recently sat Professor Hannah Cohen face to face and she reminded me of this.)
