Mesenteric vasculitis

I have suspected Mesenteric vasculitis My Rheumatologist wants me to have an Angiogram which involves a catheter inserted into the artery at the groin and thread into the mesenteric artery I haven't had chance to speak to the vascular department yet, but I'm so worried as I have suffered 4 previous iliac femoral DVTs in the left groin where I believe is where the entry for the catherter would be I have limited blood flow in my left leg as a result So I'm so anxious of having anyone go near it for fear of them making the situation worse especially as I may not have mesenteric vasculitis At the moment my symptoms are unpleasent but not life threatening (obviously I don't want them to get any worse) but nor do I want to put myself though a potentially unnecessary invasive procedure Has anyone suffered with mesenteric vasculitis what were your symptoms and final outcome ? Has anyone had this procedure Thank you

I have had this procedure and it was part of my journey to diagnosis . It was through this test they found out I had mesentric occlusion and that I had occluded a kidney . I also have double popliteal occlusion and portal vein thrombosis which they found out on previous tests .

I think it would be a good idea to contact your Rheumatologist to organise a phone call or urgent appointment to discuss your worries regarding this, perhaps a Haematologist could be involved in the decision and give feedback? MaryF
