This morning I did something I haven't done in the 5 years I've been on clexane, I forgot my morning dose. It was a bit of a fraught morning and maybe thats why. Anyway by lunch time I was feeling really ill so came for a lie down and thats when I noticed the injection on the side where I had left it.
What I want to know is should I have been feeling so bad after missing only 1 dose. Has anyone any experience of this . Thank you
It's probably more a bit of stress on your part-and the fact that coincidentally you were feeling unwell. I seldom forget but depending on when I discover the unused syringe (if it's only a couple of hours I'll still have it) I can skip it. eg. If you needed surgery you would have to skip a dose (sometimes 2) so you don't bleed all over the place!!
It's more than likely you felt rough with having a fraught morning, a few hours should not make a difference.The main thing now is do you feel better?
To be honest if I have forgot my morning tablets I start to become very ill by after lunch.It’s then I remember.I now get them out on breakfast table night before or leave reminder of thing for my injection.I think our body gets used to meds and fights back if it’s not given
I sometimes forget mine and don’t realise until I come to do the evening so I doubt you would feel that ill in a few hours. More likely you over did it or coincidental.
I regularly miss doses and never have had any ill effects.
