has anyone else been left a bit stranded since Prof Cohen left UCL?
UCL Prof Cohen: has anyone else been... - Hughes Syndrome A...
UCL Prof Cohen

Yes, they said they’d let us know by early Jan. Nothing.
I’m trying to get an appointment with someone after problems over Christmas. No emergency appointments available.
Yes we all are. I contacted them last week to find out when we would hear as the letter said to do so but they replied saying that it was taking longer than they had anticipated going through patients.
Agree letter said we would know by 10 January I chased and got same answer. Concerned last consult April and next one was after Hannah had left. So no treatment concerning. Does anyone know why Hannah left so suddenly I know she was beyond retirement age but would have hoped better managed
No idea, was just told she’d retired. I have met a prof Scully, and it was very clear that they weren’t happy with the lack of notice.
I always praised Cohen for changing my symptoms at the beginning, and for getting me through two pregnancies.
I am waiting to hear too. My next appointment with Prof Cohen was scheduled for April, that’s been cancelled and no correspondence with a new appointment as I was promised, has arrived.
I was very sad to hear she had gone. I think UCLH are very short of haematologists specialising in APS. She was thorough and would always answer my queries, sometimes by email where necessary. I’m missing her already!
Yes,twenty years of Dr Cohen’s excellent care has not been replaced adequately.
