Hi all,

Please all you APS sufferers , do any /all /some of you suffer with pruning in your fingertips also changes in sensitivity, sometimes a little prickling and numbness??

This has only happened since I was diagnosed in Feb ?

It's not all the time or even in the bath , but they will just shrivel up and dent when I hold something, tingle and go a little numb ! I've upped my water but it's not helping.

KR all !

Yes it does but the arm and leg is new since couple weeks ago.If I rang doctor n said I get pins n needles up my left arm he would say ring an ambulance but it's not heart attack.my leg pins n needles goes excessive into pain in knee when standing too long like drying up at sink.seems lockdown has escalated things

Agreed about the lockdown, I think I am focusing on my symptoms more now though now because of this ! yesterday I had a Doppler scan as the doc thought it might be the blood flow in my legs but that was fine ! Hope you get some answers!

YES! This happens often and I wonder why as I am not cold, not just bathed, and am fully hydrated. I do have neuropathy with the pins & needles and numbness but this pruning happens separate to that.

Suntap oh I have found someone else , how interesting, I simply don't get why either , my fingertips are fine when I wake up, they are pink and bouncy but within an hour they shrivel up again and lose their padding. I have read that pruning can be a symptom of autoimmune issues but my GP clearly doesn't know ! Thanks for replying!

Hi Sevenstar1!! It's me again!

I just found this post from 3 months ago! ☺

My fingertips are numb because of Peripheral Neuropathy. It's sooo annoying.

Also, a few months ago I discovered something that really upset me. I had to sign an important document and they needed my fingerprint... Guess what! I don't have those anymore.... also because of the PN!. 😯

A few days ago I broke a plate... I got angry at myself even though I knew it wasn't my fault. I have to be very careful when I hold something because I've become so clumsy.😑

I also have a similar problem with me feet and I'm always terrified I'm going to fall.

Wishing you a good Sunday! 🙂
