Hi, I have APS and need to travel for work. Can anyone recommend providers for travel insurance for worldwide cover? Many thanks.

Allianz.com. You can go on and buy I insurance for your trip in 5 minutes for anywhere you are going. Make sure you get it within 10 days of booking your reservations for preexisting conditions. I typically get the mid range plan!!

Freedom insurance. Was recomended in the Hughes clinic at St Thomas, they have covered me for years and very reasonable. 01223 446914

I found it easier to get insurance when I asked my GP to give me a letter to say I was fit to travel, I had to pay.

The year before st Thomas wrote me one with no problem

Enjoy your holiday

Do you have a bank account that offers it as a part of their add ons? Not a separate one sold by a bank but ones specifically attached to the account?

I have a Barclays account and I pay a small monthly sum for worldwide cover and it covers my kids too and RAC breakdown cover.

I believe it's underwritten by aviva and I just call and give them the details of all confirmed diagnosis inc APS and they covered me.

barclays.co.uk/TravelPack/T...

Other banks do something similar.

Ps if you look up Barclays travel insurance and call them, they may not cover you as it's a different underwriter.

I used to use freedom but prices kept going up and they stoped giving me discount for returning customer. I've been with AA my last two trips . APS support has a page dedicated to health insurance with companies that provide cover.

I use the one attached to my HSBC account and it covers me for APS no issue! No extra payment for that or my other conditions x
