Tinnitus from plaquenil

Hello , I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and I take Plaquenil already 3 months , began me tinnitus in my right ear a week ago . Only a week later I was recommended to stop the Plaquenil . The question is when you stop taking the Plaquenil so tinnitus stops ? Thanks!

Hi, I also suffer from rheumatoid arthritis my first treatment (about 7 years ago) was Plaqenil, I was told by the specialist that it may give me tinnitus, which it did within a couple of days, I stayed on Plaquenil for 4 years until it stopped having an affect on my arthritis. I assumed the tinnitus would stop but if anything it increased, its been 3 years now and it drives me crazy, my Rheumatologist has told me it will never go away. Had I known this at the outset I would not have taken Plaquenil as the benefits for my RH were minimal.

Hi thanks for the comment.. Whay you dont stop with plaquenil whan the tinnitus was started? ...
