I do have APS and I know this is nothing to do with it but I need some help. I hurt my toe and was limping for a few days. Quickly I developed pain in my hip (the same side) then terrible back pain. Now I have sciatica on that same side. It really is painful.
I have:
Been using a massage machine on the leg muscles
Using biofreeze in a rollerball
Using a ‘pain pen’
Taking my usual pain meds
Moving around as much as possible
Doing gentle stretches
I’ve booked a private appointment with my physio (but the first one available is 17/2)
I’ve booked a doctors appointment for the 5/2
Nothing is helping. Any advice would be fantastic
Many thanks I. Advance 💋 x

All my sympathy WendyWoo. I’ve managed to do the same to my neck/shoulder/arm after using crutches for a couple of weeks. The only things I can add are using a heat pad alternatively with the ice and looking at if using pillows to help you find a comfortable position in bed (I have an orthopaedic pillow arriving today I hope).
I’m honestly in more pain now than I was from the problem that put me on crutches in the first place 😥
I wish I had a good medical suggestion. I do not. except, after my 3joint replacement surgeries I too felt the best pain management came alternating cold, nothing, heat, nothing then back to cold --all in 15 minute increments. Good luck. Keep us informed, we're all wishing you well!
I use Better You Magnesium Sleep Lotion at night on anything that hurts, (getting over a broken arm), and I also use Neurofen Gel, under that lotion if something is awful. Years ago I had similar pains in back and down one leg which went after I started B Complex with Folate, (always check with GP), and then added in B12 injections. That and the Mag Lotion really helped me. MaryF
Have you tried an osteopath. I had symptoms like you years ago and physio did nothing. 2 visits to the osteopath and never had sciatica again. Worked wonders.
