Hello, its been 10 months since I last visited this website. My partner and I chose to take some time out and try and get ourselves back together again after suffering another miscarriage in December last year. We've moved house, worked a lot and took some time to enjoy ourselves a little before feeling ready to try again. However in September we decided to stop using protection and if its meant to be it will be, and what do you know, 1 month later we discovered we are expecting... again. Im around 6 weeks. This time my consultant has chosen to put me on Heparin injections daily and 150mg aspirin daily like last time, but this pregnancy he has decided to try as well as the Heparin and aspirin x2 cyclogest pessaries daily and ovitrelle (hcg) injections twice a week. We have had 1 very early scan due to my worry and discovered that we are indeed expecting twins. I was too early to notice any babies on screen, only 2 sacs, which means we have another scan in 10 days. I was wondering is there any of you out there who have been on this treatment before and what was it like for you? i'm scared but taking each day as it comes, remaining positive.

Its been a while...
Hi there congratulations to your brave self and your brave partner, I am sitting here hardly able to move as I literally have everything crossed for you! Keep well, keep stress free, and please look after yourself, lots and lots of relaxation.... MaryF x
Congratulations!
Aww that's lovely, congratulations 😃
Years ago the actress Sophia Loren had to literally take to her bed to enable her to get to full term. Since then anyone pregnant who has to rest a lot has been called in our family doing a Sophia Loren. It sounds very elegant and of course she had people to pander to her and money was not a problem. Congratulations!! have a Sophia Loren if you have to, pander to yourself, and hopefully those two little babies will grow up into children and adults. I have had a number of miscarriages and know how debilitating they can be, but modern medicine is moving on all the time. Good luck and take care. xxx
