Can women with lupus anticoagulant positive become pregnant?? Which specialist Dr do we need after gynaecologist??pls help

I had miscarriage in April 15..

When I was nearly 10 weeks pregnant after tests it shows lupus anticoagulant positive and to wait for three months & repeated the test

Now I need help which Dr should I need as well can I deliver healthy baby

If you are wanting to try and have a baby an obstetrician with full working knowledge of the disease would be a good idea and later on a rheumatologist. MaryF

Dr said its rare disease so I am really worried about getting pregnant and having healthy child.. Is there a treatment for this

Please if you can read the information on our charity website: hughes-syndrome.org/ I have this disease as do all the other members on this useful forum. I have had three successful pregnancies. You do need help, so please contact some of the names I have sent you. MaryF

Hi there, I am the same as you although I found out about APS after I fell pregnant and had another blood clot. I was referred by my GP to an Obstetrician who specialises in high risk pregnancies as well as a haematologist. So far I am 30 weeks pregnant and both baby and I are healthy. I did need to move from remote Australia to a big city to access a tertiary hospital to ensure baby and I get the care we need come birth.

Whilst my case was rare where I had been living, now I'm going to a big city hospital I am one of many pregnant women with APS.
