Best of luck Michelle. I had an ablation done 3 days ago and I know how you feel. I was very nervous on the day but the procedure itself wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The time just flew and I was back in recovery texting family and friends within an hour! I wish you all the best and speedy recovery.
I had the EP study done to get the diagnosis and this was followed by a ablation as it turned out I had the atrial tachycardia with the recurring circuit. Best of luck today!
He found out I had atrial tachycardia that was ablated first . Iv got to wait to recover from this one first . He said it was unusual for someone my age to have AT I’m 36 I just wondered if you don’t mind how old are you ? Xx
From what I gather A fib ablation is more complicated - my cardiologist said I would need to come back to have it done if the EP study showed A fib.i was really pleased it wasn't AFib and that they managed to diagnose me during the Ep study. I have two kids but thankfully my husband is off for the next couple of weeks to help me during recovery. The sorness will go away in the next couple of days. It is my 5th day post ablation and I am feeling ok - leg is still bit sore but so much better than before. I get occasional pains in my heart but this will also pass once the scars are fully healed.
Hang in there and try to rest as much as you can - you should see significant improvement in the next 3 or 4 days.
I haven’t had any more runs of AT since my ablation which is great news . But since my ablation I get lots of ectopics beats throughout the day and night .
I’v just started to take a small does
Of verapamil to see if it will settle things. My consultant doesn’t think it’s related to her ablation .
I was a wake thoughout the procedure but sedated i was aware what was going on I was able to ask questions thoughout . I didn’t feel any pain . Felt a little dizzy almost a drunk feeling . I did feel my heart pumping fast and slow but that was under thier control . The initial ablating area I didn’t feel a thing . I was in the op got about 3 hours which went fast five hours after I was up walking about and heading home .
I’m glad that you are not getting any runs anymore. I hope that your etopic beats will stop too.
If I understand it right, the etopic beats are not related to the ablation? I hope so, because it isn’t nice to get a successful ablation and then end up with etopic beats as a result 🤭.
