Not a recipie but have a look at the herbal supplement berberine.
Not a recipe but I avoid hard cheese, use very little butter, no processed food very little bread,rice, pasta and potato. to keep my BMI within normal range and also my cholesterol. My father had 5 heart attacks in his life starting when he was 56 yrs and lived to be 90, when unfortunately he got Cancer of the gullet.

Thanks for reply Bidgie, i have changed my diet and given up smoking, whole wheat pasta, rice, bread are ok, full of fibre and goodness, potatoes are good, cut out the butter, fat milk and little or no salt, your father was similar to mine, mine lived to 90 but died of heart failure in the end, thanks for the luck, all the best to you
recommend lean meat, fish & chicken... lots of veggies
hubby & l changed our diet after his heart issues
nothing special going on in our kitchen... keeping it simple
