My nutritionist says five serves of veggies a day is best for optimum health. Is that true?

HOW MANY VEGETABLES SHOULD I BE EATING?
I would depends on which vegetables , but most won't hurt
i have read that 7 pieces of fruit/veg/salad is more desirable; but because that is unattainable for most people the recommendation was lowered to 5 to encourage people rather than put them off trying to reach the target.
Try not to get hung up on the number per day. Look at your week as a whole, go for a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. Get as many different colours as you can manage, eat the rainbow.
If you’re not used to eating a lot of vegetables take it slowly until your insides have got used to the change in diet.
5 vegetables a day, because of my low carb diet and me beingg a diabetic, I have been told only broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, spinach, cabbage, and then salad fixins, few tomatoes, but other vegetables are to sweet for me like corn, sweet peas, lima beans, potatoes,
that’s sound advice. I follow UK GP Doctor on Twitter, all carbs such as bread and cereals, break down into sugar once digested and bread rice and certain fruits/cereals too. Best to eat mainly meats and fish and ‘low carb’ vegetables and berries mostly. He’s researched it thoroughly and got a lot of his diabetic patients off of insulin.
Vegetables have great health benefits. I'm practicing this vegetarian diet betterme.world/articles/die... now and I'm feeling amazing. I was afraid that it'll be difficult for me not to eat meat. But it turned out that pretty easy as I found a lot of interesting recipes there. I'm thinking of becoming a strict vegetarian.
I aim for 15 veggies and fruit a day, but I am not a vegan. It seems to help keep me and my 3 stents healthy and fit. The downside is that they can take a while to peel and chop. Since I started using 3 different herbs a day, the evening meal is less bland, as unfortunately I am intolerant of spices.
