If your looking for healthy eating Christmas Day dinner isn’t the time to find it in our family. Good intentions go out the window!🤣 We do themed dinners. Cooking varies quite a bit regionally in the states. This years theme is a southern Christmas dinner. I have it from southern sources that this menu is pretty good. Here goes. Southern ham with glazed with cherries and pineapple (very pretty), pimento potato casserole, green bean casserole, bing cherry salad, pickles of all sorts, champagne and warm rolls. Dessert is Banana pudding. Little meatballs in a cranberry based sauce and Open House punch for appetizers . Nibbles after dinner are cookies and fruitcake The men in my family love fruitcake! Go figure!

Sorry for the delay. Family was here and just now reading your comment. It turned out very well. Everyone ate way too much including me. I won’t eat much tomorrow. It wouldn’t fit!😂😂😖

What a lovely idea Gillyflower18! It's so good to change things up a bit and, as you say, perhaps not the day to put healthy eating first. It's what we do for most of the year that counts. A day or two of indulging ourselves isn't necessarily a problem!
